SCONE RULES
RULES OF CONDUCT
- No going into any opponents pit and fighting verbally or physically. First offence will be one week off. Second offence will give you the rest of the season off. This will include the crew as well. You as a driver are responsible for your crew.
- No hassling the officials they have tough enough job as it is. The same terms as rule one apply here.
- Anyone that is driving to aggressive or not in control by the flagman's opinion will be given a warning the first time. Will lose points and money second time, for the third time will be asked to leave for the rest of the season.
TECHNICAL RULES
- 2008 year there will be no SCONE Sprint tire rule.
- Mufflers are mandatory, you will not run if you do not have mufflers on your car. The mufflers are as follows 24216 Bullet style muffler or you can run the ASCS shonefeld muffler.
- Fuel will be Methanol only. The only additive allowed will be top end lube. No nitromethane.
- The fuel tanks must be of the bladder type.
- Any engine with a cast iron block, no more cubic inch than a 360 + 1 % Mopar 360 only a .030 over bore.
- No aluminum blocks. Any aluminum head, ASCS, DART, G.M., what ever you want.
- Fuel injection: 2 3/16 or 2 7/16 allowed. You may also run a carburetor instead of fuel injection. Must have fuel shut off from the tank for the safety workers in the event of a crash or roll over.
- NO PLASTIC, OR CARBON FIBER WHEELS.
- Top wing will be no larger than 25 sq. feet. Front wings will be of the standard size. outlaw large sideboard allowed.
- Must have proper safety equipment: Snell approved helmet, fire suit, gloves, arm restraints, shoes. Fire retardant under wear would be a good idea also, but not mandatory. Must pass track safety check.
- Any sprint car chassis will be allowed, must look like a sprint car.
HANDICAPPING
- The purpose of handicapping is to promote competition on the track. To provide competitors who have been less successful a fairly momentary advantage over those experiencing success. All heats and mains after the first week will be lined up based on points. Highest point cars start from the rear off the field. Odd point cars start the first heat, even point cars start the second heat.
- New drivers will start from the rear of the heats and mains for the first two weeks.
